Happy Valentines Day

In February comes that day

Where we're all supposed to say

That I love you in every way

It really feels so gay

And not in a a good way

Its just designed to make us pay

And as my son would say

It doesn't make us slay

For me, I think today

Should be no different in any way

I say the things I say

And love you every day

Even when you drive down the Queensway

We can pay whenever we pay

Not only when they say

And love in every way

The things we do each day

Like lying in the hay

Or making things with clay

Although we don't do these things I hear you say

And that is true today

They merely rhyme with day

But ney

Lets not wait till May

To do things that make us say yay

Because I will love and obey

Until my hair goes grey

I will love you every day

And not in a gay way

So let me stop this essay

Because even though I have not bought a bouquet

Or taken you to the ballet

These things are just outleigh

And merely for display

They're not things you can replay

My body may decay

But my love for you will stay
